The Wonders of Oz

As we say goodbye to beautiful Melbourne and head back to the UK, I wanted to share my favourite finds in Australia. I have fallen in love with so many interior stores, designers, cool places and coffee shops here that there are way too many to mention! Here are just some of my favourite thing’s…

Anyone that knows me will tell you how much I love coffee. Not just love it, but NEED it. Can’t live without it. If I don’t get my caffeine fix first thing, I literally can’t function!  Everyone said I would be in my element in Melbourne as it’s the coffee capital of Australia, some say they have the best coffee in the world and I have to say, I definitely agree! I’ve been so spoilt with so many cute coffee shops, fab places to brunch and well, just amazing coffee everywhere you go. I have to admit, I’ve turned into a total coffee snob and the big chains that I used to frequent for my fix, they just don’t cut it anymore. The coffee art is also on another level here and this rainbow latte is one of my regular orders.

AQUA S – I mean, just look at this…the most instagrammable ice cream around! My girls were obsessed with this place, with loads of different flavours and variations their ice cream’s are like works of art. This candy floss combo was a particular favourite of ours.

CARTEL FLOWERS – I was thrilled when I received these flowers for my birthday, the girls chose pink roses in a black and white box for me and the result was absolutely stunning. They do different variations of boxes that can all be personalised and they are all gorgeous!

St. Jerome’s-The Hotel – Taking glamping to a whole new level! We had so much fun here. St. Jerome’s rooftop hotel is smack bang in the middle of the city and offers the complete luxury camping experience. Luxe tents are fitted out with beds, electric blankets, iPads to stream movies and stocked with goodies. You also get complimentary cocktails in the evening and breakfast delivered to your tent in the morning. All of this is on the roof top of the shopping mall in Melbourne CBD. The kids absolutely LOVED it, it’s a must do!!

Nectar & Stone – For the prettiest IG page going you have to check out the lovely Caroline Khoo from Nectar & Stone. Her page is full of THE most gorgeous cakes and desserts you will ever see! The website has an online boutique where you can purchase gifts such as these stunning marble chocolates, but be quick as these sell out fast! Look out for N&S pop up shops too, I stocked up with goodies for Christmas when Caroline was at Chadstone shopping centre.

Clara H Nails – If you’re looking for badass nails in Melbourne then Clara is your go-to girl! I had my N&S chocolates with me at an appointment, loved the look of them and showed them to Clara who said she could recreate them for me and the result was amazing, she even added the gold leaf detail! I found the gorgeous Clara after stalking her Insta, check it out to see all her of her awesome nail art…it’s not surprising that she counts Serena Williams as one of her clients. The salon is super cute too…you’re welcome!

Lux bite – The cutest patisserie cafe in South Yarra where you will literally be in dessert heaven! The girls were obsessed with this place and we loved to stop here after shopping for tea, cakes and macarons. My personal favourite is this gorge Lolly Bag Cake but there are so many sweet treats to choose from, the girls loved the Signature Tea Set where they could sample one of everything!

Bombardier designs – I’ve been a long time fan of Bombardier designs and I am in love with their monochrome design cushions and candles. Everything can be personalised with initials or names and I can’t get enough of their home accessories in my favourite colour combo, black and white.

BISTRO MORGAN – So there is a definite big trend over here for doughnuts, cronuts, freakshakes and everything in between. There are so many awesome places doing amazing things with food and one of our faves was Bistro Morgan in Windsor. These amazing creations by 16 year old Morgan Hipworth are the talk of the town and really do taste as good as they look. Be prepared to wait, every time we’ve been here there has been queue out of the door and down the street!

Alice McCall – My go to designer for the cutest playsuits and prettiest dresses. I really am in love with her designs.

Megan Hess – I’ve been totally OBSESSED with Megan’s fashion illustrations and books for a long time now, so much so that I asked her to design the illustration header for my blog!  Her designs are just everything and her instagram page is swoon worthy. I can’t wait to get my hands on Megan’s new book, Paris : Through A Fashion Eye.

The Langham – We spent my birthday weekend at this beautiful hotel and enjoyed breakfast with this gorgeous city view! Even if you’re not staying here, stop by to take a pic with the iconic pink taxi outside the hotel!

Bye Bye Melb… we’re gonna miss you!
